One of Mielko’s most flirtatious images,
this multihued painting appears at first blush
to be about a pair of parked bicycles, but the
real story is bliss at the sea shore, where
two lovers hug after “The Proposal” has
been accepted. Flowers in the bike basket of
the bride to be are a charming detail.
